In an effort to get back into graphic design work, and start to upskill in a field that I love, I recently took a tutorial on the Spoon Graphics website.
I took the liberty of customizing the graphic to something relevant to me, so I strayed a bit from the exact details of the tutorial. I learned a bit though and I am happy with how the graphic turned out. I decided to have some stickers created from the graphic to share with my family.
Things I learned from this tutorial:
- Manipulating stroke details (like caps) in Illustrator
- Duplicating and reflecting objects in Illustrator
- Using the scissor tool to trim lines in Illustrator
- Transforming lines into waves in Illustrator
- Using the Object > Blend effect in Illustrator
- Using the Type on Path tool in Illustrator
